Dothan, Alabama car wreck attorney Aaron Gartlan of Gartlan Injury Law recently settled two car accident cases on behalf of a good, hard working, Troy Alabama man that was actually involved in two automobile accidents through no fault of his own within just a few days apart.
The settlements involved several legal and factual issues that were investigated and developed in an effort to prove and demonstrate liability, injuries and damages, add value to the case and maximize recovery.
All of the important documents were gathered and reviewed including accident reports, medical records and bills. This helped in opening the lines of communication between the healthcare providers, which facilitated, negotiating and paying outstanding balances and also played a part in the sheparding and monitoring of the medical treatment, which included medical doctor and chiropractic care. Additionally, this assisted in identifying the possible witnesses, sources of insurance and subrogation interests.
In these cases, the available insurance coverage for one settlement was State Farm, which was the insurance carrier of the other driver; and in the other case, it was Occidental, which is the uninsured motorist insurance carrier of this good, hard-working man, since the other driver did not have automobile insurance coverage as mandated by Alabama Law.
The good, hard-working man carried BlueCross BlueShield health insurance through his employer. Therefore, any subrogation interest had to be resolved.
A summary of liability, injuries and damages was sent to both State Farm and Occidental Insurance Companies, and successful settlements were reached in both cases.
