Second Annual Youth Career Summit was a Success

Dothan Alabama personal injury and accident lawyers David Hogg and Aaron Gartlan of the Gartlan Injury Law participated in the Second Annual Youth Career Summit at the Dothan Civic Center on Friday February 14, 2014.

The Alabama Cooperative Extension System in partnership with the Dothan City Schools and Technology Center, as well as the Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce conducted the Second Annual Youth Career Summit. The purpose of the Youth Career Summit is to educate the approximately seven hundred eighth graders in the Dothan City School System about employment and career opportunities available in the Wiregrass Region. The Youth Career Summit also enhances the “Career Cruising” Academic Curriculum Guidelines set by the State Department of Education. The Alabama Department of Education of Workforce Development supports career development programs to begin in earlier school age students to help them prepare for Alabama‘s Workforce.

The Gartlan Injury Law were part of around eighty professionals in the Wiregrass Region that were invited to come and share their careers including success stories, educational background, skills required, job satisfaction and information on their company, with the seven hundred (700) eighth graders that are enrolled in the Dothan City Schools.

David Hogg and Aaron Gartlan of the Gartlan Injury Law are both graduates of Dothan High School and support, believe in and are committed to the Dothan City School System and public education and were honored to participate in this worthwhile event.

Aaron Gartlan is a graduate of Troy University and the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law who focuses his practice exclusively on representing those injured by the wrongdoing of others. He is member of the National Trial Lawyers Association’s Top 100 Trial Lawyers, Million Dollar Advocates Forum and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. In addition to his legal practice, Aaron teaches Business Law as an adjunct instructor at Troy University’s Sorrell College of Business and serves as a field artillery sergeant in the Alabama National Guard.
